Where positions diverge, agreement is still reachable.
Vesper Mediation works with individuals, businesses and public bodies to resolve disputes before they escalate — across local government, workplace, commercial and property matters.
Where I can help
Every dispute is different — these are examples of where mediation tends to make the most difference, not the limits of the practice.
Local government
Councillor conduct, councillor–officer relationships, and community disputes — brought to me through a dedicated partnership with the LGRC.
More on this →Workplace & employment
Working relationships that have broken down — between colleagues, or between an employee and their employer — before they end up in a tribunal.
Commercial
Contract, partnership and contractor disputes where an ongoing working relationship is worth preserving — drawing on years of hands-on project and budget management on complex, multi-party projects.
Property & community
Landlord and tenant disputes, boundary and neighbour issues, and estate management conflicts — grounded in hands-on experience running a 15,000-acre mixed residential, agricultural and commercial estate.

My background sits across two worlds that don't usually overlap. As a troubleshooting CEO, Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer, I've run town and community councils across England and Wales and know the regulatory framework they operate within inside out. As an Estate Manager, I oversaw 15,000 acres of residential, agricultural and commercial property — so property law, landlord and tenant disputes, and complex commercial contracts are just as familiar to me as council governance.
I'm an accredited mediator with Align Mediation, a member of the Agricultural Lawyers Association, and a member of the Country Land and Business Association. I also founded the Community Clerks' Network, now connecting over 2,400 town clerks across more than 4,000 town and community councils.
Repairing the relationship, not just recording the breach
Formal processes — standards complaints, grievance procedures, tribunals — settle whether something happened. They rarely rebuild a working relationship. Mediation sits alongside those processes: often earlier, sometimes in parallel, to deal with the human relationship the formal process was never designed to fix.

Tell me a little about what's going on and I'll come back to you. If it's a local government matter, let me know below — I'll loop in the LGRC as part of the process.
